 1. INTRODUCTION 

Registry problems are the common cause of Windows crashes, error messages, and degraded system performance. RegDoctor can safely clean and repair Windows registry problems with a few simple mouse clicks! RegDoctor uses an intelligent, high-performance detection engine to quickly identify missing and invalid references in your Windows registry. It will provide a list of the registry problems found, and rate the risk of each problem using an easy to understand color-coded system for your information. You can choose to have RegDoctor automatically repair all identified problems, or more selectively choose which problems to repair immediately. For your convenience, RegDoctor also offers a Restore feature that allows you to undo any registry changes.

The auto-start feature of RegDoctor helps to support its regular use. By using RegDoctor regularly to clean and repair your registry, your system should not only be more stable but it will also help Windows and your software run faster.

2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 

RegDoctor works with all the Windows versions, including Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP.

3. START REGDOCTOR

To start RegDoctor manually:
Start->All Programs->RegDoctor->RegDoctor
To start RegDoctor with Windows:
Check Run at Start-up under Options in Settings

4. QUICK SCAN

Quick scan will scan your registry for errors in the following sections of the registry: Registry Integrity; ActiveX/COM, ActiveX/COM Subsections; File Extensions; Application Paths; Help Files; Microsoft Shared; and Uninstall. It is the easiest way to correct  registry errors.                 

5. DEEP SCAN

Deep scan provides more complete scanning than quick scan. In addition to the sections scanned by Quick Scan, Deep Scan also scans your system for invalid Windows shortcuts and Vxd problems.

6. SELECTIVE FIX AND FIX ALL

When a scan is done, the problems with each section are presented. The threat level of the problems are identified with the color-coded system:

Red -- threat level is high.
Orange -- threat level is medium.
Blue -- threat level is low. By clicking on each section, you can see the details of the problems. To exclude an item from being fixed, uncheck the item on the list.รก
To fix the problems, click on Fix the Problems.

7. RESTORE

All the changes made by RegDoctor can be undone.
To undo the changes, click on Restore. A list of the backup files are displayed. Select the appropriate backup file and click on OK.
